Hack Sara

Root Cause

The Philippines has been trapped in a cycle of corruption for generations. Every scandal brings public outrage. Politicians are investigated, officials are replaced, and new promises of reform are made. Yet after every election, the same problems return—only with different names and faces. People keep fighting the symptoms, but few stop to question the system that keeps producing them. Athrun is an ordinary IT professional who has spent most of his life watching the country repeat the same cycle. As a programmer, he has learned that when the same error keeps appearing, fixing the output isn't enough. You have to find the flaw in the system. Exhausted by corruption, political dynasties, money-driven elections, and reforms that never seem to last, Athrun reaches an unlikely conclusion: The Philippines doesn't just need another politician. It needs someone willing to debug the system itself. With no political dynasty behind him and a career built in technology rather than politics, Athrun makes a decision that everyone around him thinks is insane. He runs for President of the Philippines. And his campaign begins with one question: **What if corruption isn't the root problem—but the result of a broken system?**
